Thank you for your interest in booking an appointment with Brighten!

New clients: Please ensure you create the account in the CHILD’S name. If you have any questions about booking or struggle to find availability, we recommend starting with one of the two consultation options.

Returning clients: You can now book your sessions online! Please take care to choose the correct appointment type and therapist, and monitor your covered amounts. We have a separate section for FSCD funded sessions which use their designated rates to cover the service costs.

Consultations

"I HAVE QUESTIONS"

Consultation appointments are for parents or caregivers who have questions about communication or feeding development. The focus of these sessions is to provide coaching on how families can provide support at-home and suggest a plan for follow up (if needed).

Assessments

“WHAT'S THE PROBLEM AND HOW BAD IS IT?”

Assessments are for families who are looking for a diagnosis or simply want to know exactly how and why their child is having difficulty. They include a more in-depth evaluation than consultation sessions and a professional report with recommendations.

Intervention

"WE NEED SPEECH THERAPY"

Intervention appointments are for families who already know their child needs ongoing therapy and have a goal in mind. Therapy sessions include time for parent/caregiver updates, client-led play or conversation, practicing the target skill(s), coaching on effective strategies for home practice, and a written summary note.

FSCD

"OUR CONTRACT HAS SLP HOURS"

FSCD appointments are for families who have been approved for a DBA or Specialized Services contract. Sessions are billed following the FSCD hourly rates and recommendations for direct and indirect time to cover the full cost of services. FSCD contracts typically cover one-to-two sessions per month.

Additional Services

"CAN YOU DO THIS FOR US?"

Additional services can be booked by families who would like extra indirect professional assistance outside of therapy sessions. Examples have included writing progress reports or professional letters, healthcare or school team meetings, making or programming a visual communication system, or compiling materials/resources for home practice.
